FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What forms of payment do you accept?
Payment may be made by Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Amex or check. If paying by check, payment must be received at least one week prior to stork delivery.

Are reservations required?
Reservations are recommended but not required. If you do not make a reservation, we request that you call and place your order at least 24 hours before you would like your stork delivered. Reservations may be made by calling and providing us with the baby’s estimated due date, payment and delivery information. When baby arrives, simply call us with the birth information and your stork will be ready to deliver.

When should I make a reservation?
You can make a reservation any time before or after the baby arrives. Reservations can be taken over the phone at 301-693-4483 or email us at info@sweetsignsofjoy.com

                                             Do you have gift certificates?
Yes. Gift certificates may be purchased to give as a gift to the new parents or grandparents. After we receive your payment, your gift certificate will be mailed.

I'd like to order a stork/occasional yard sign for someone else. How do I do this?
To order a stork for someone else, please give us a call at 301-693-4483 or email at info@sweetsignsofjoy.com at least 24 hours before you would like the stork set up. We will need to know the new parents' name and address, the new baby's name, weight, length, and birth date. We will also deliver a gift card with personal message to the new parents. You may also reserve a stork ahead of time by giving us the estimated due date.

Do you deliver in all types of weather?
We deliver in most weather conditions. However, we reserve the right to cancel or postpone the delivery if we feel the weather would be a danger to the delivery person (excessive snow, high winds). We will contact you to reschedule or refund the rental fee if the delivery is delayed or cancelled . 

What if I need to cancel an order?
You will receive a full refund if either of the following applies: A) The rental is canceled at least 48 hours in advance. B) Extreme weather conditions prevent us from delivering your stork.

Where do you deliver?
We deliver, set up and remove your stork for free in most of Frederick  County.  We still happily deliver outside of our free zip code zone for a small fee.

Does someone need to be home when you deliver the sign?
No, we will setup your sign and leave a congratulations card at the home upon delivery.

I am hosting an indoor event.  Can your storks be used indoors?
Yes, our storks are 7 feet tall and can easily fit indoors.
